T-ST 6201 - Voice & Speech 4: Fitzmaurice
This course will introduce MFA Vocal Pedagogy students to the work of Catherine Fitzmaurice with a focus on drawing on previous movement and voice experiences in the program including Alexander Technique, yoga, Speech to Singing, Lessac, Linklater and Pure Movement. Using concepts derived from these areas of study students will explore physicality, breath, and voice for both speech and singing. The ultimate aim is to apply this sense of freedom and ease to both text and song, increasing presence and connection to the material.
