T-ST 3103 - Directing: Staging and Composition
This course explores the process of directing plays for the stage. Discussion, group experiments as actor and director anchor skills in key areas: effective communication with actors; balancing the interplay between action and text. Students may stage scenes from distinct categories: open scenes, silent scenes, plays in verse, realistic plays, and non-realistic or less literal modern and contemporary plays.
