T-ST 2141 - Acting Studio 3
This rigorous acting class builds on Freshman Movement and Voice classes to ensure a personal commitment in the way a student approaches acting as a means of connecting to other actors through, first, technique work based on the tenets of Sanford Meisner, and subsequently through scene work. Once the repetition technique is embodied, the focus of the class will turn to the way in which each student experiences the mapping of a scene through the vocabulary of actions, objectives, meanings, need, and images in order to affect another human. Students will be expected to execute and embody in-class exercises, which will be incorporated into scene work during the second semester.
