T-ST 0803 - Musical Theater Dance 1
This musical theater dance course is intended to bring attention to the ways in which musical theater styles from golden age through hip hop are physicalized through dance and movement, tying into both the movement sequence and musical styles study. This will both provide a physical foundation for bringing nuance to the sung styles of these genres as well as aid in understanding how dance movement is used to establish character, further plot development, and intensify dramatic conflict.
