Students continue to study the movements of theater from Restoration through the Modern Theater of the 1800s. Particular attention is spent on the role theater and entertainment played in the ever-evolving, tumultuous times of the world’s political landscape including the inspiration for acceptance or degradation of the art form in various countries and under particular regimes.
