M-LT 71343 - Paris at the Turn of the Century
At the turn of the 20th-century, Paris was a center of experimentation in music, literature and the visual arts. We will be studying how composers in Paris intersected with the artists and poets of their time, in order to create one of the most progressive bodies of work of the 20th century. We will be concentrating on the French composers, Faure, Debussy, Ravel, Satie as well as some of the composers who called Paris their adopted homeland, Stravinsky and de Falla.
