M-LT 71154 - Vocal Music of Stravinsky
An examination of the brilliant and highly individual vocal writing of Igor Stravinsky, this course will feature solo, choral and operatic works from his many stylistic periods. We will examine the composer's unique and exacting ideas of text setting; his austere writing for chorus; and his particular flare for dramatic writing in the oratorios and opera.
