D-ST 75711 - Conditioning for Dancers
This course will employ elements from various movement practices as tools to prepare the dancer’s body for the demands of dance training. This includes: movement principles and sequences designed by Irene Dowd, elements of Gyrotonic/Gyrokinesis®, isometric strength training, preparatory exercises on the floor (floor barre) from the Vaganova technique, and techniques for Stretching.
