D-LT 79922 - Dance & Technology Laboratory
In this laboratory, students will have the opportunity to experiment with selected emerging technologies and devise interdisciplinary projects in collaborations with fellow students and faculty. We will explore 360 video, virtual reality, avatars, motion capture as well as the collaborative intermedia processes integral to work-flow and developing productive rehearsal processes using these new tools. Students will document their work in a digital portfolio. The course will introduce students to examples of both mainstream and experimental projects using these emerging technologies and engage with critiques and analysis within a performance studies framework.
